Baseline Assessment on Climate Resilience for Pastoral Communities

Mandek Consulting conducted a comprehensive baseline assessment on climate resilience for pastoral communities across four regions in Somalia. This project utilized both qualitative and quantitative methodologies to evaluate resilience at the household level. Our approach included household surveys, focus group discussions (FGDs), and extensive stakeholder engagements to gather diverse perspectives and insights. The assessment also involved a thorough desk review and resilience analysis to understand the vulnerabilities and adaptive capacities of these communities. The findings provided a foundational understanding to inform future interventions aimed at enhancing climate resilience in Somalia’s pastoral regions.
